Let’s dispel the rumor, serving papers is nothing like delivering pizza. Knowing who can be served certain court documents, how to handle those who refuse service or those who avoid service, your safety, proper documentation of your activity and a host of other important concepts will ultimately lead to your success or failure.

• Colorado Rules of Civil Procedure (C.R.C.P.) – the Rules of Service
  • Understand C.R.C.P. Rule 4/304, serving of a summons
  • Understand C.R.C.P. Rule 45/345, serving of a subpoena
  • The two definitions of personal service used in C.R.C.P. Rule 4 and 45
  • Serving a Civil Protection Order/Temporary Protection Order
  • Serving Rule 69 or 369 Interrogatories

• Law & State Statutes stay out of trouble with the law
  • Avoiding Trespass and Harassment
  • Are you able to look at the mail or packages on the porch

Although this course focuses on Colorado Law, most state laws are similar. Many people who live in other states have and benefitted from this course.
