PSACO has proposed to the Civil Rules Committee, changing C.R.C.P. Rule 4 to require Process Servers be registered in addition to being over the age of 18 and a United States citizen.
Our position in regards to:
- Designing and Administering the Registration Program
- Persons serving process, should be known and listed in a public registry
- Process Servers should pass a background check
Currently, there are individuals serving process which consist of convicted felons and pedophiles. This alone, places the citizens of Colorado at risk. We are not advocating listing personal contact information on the registry, we are advocating knowing who is serving process and their background.
